Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and Deputy Chair Manna Jo Greene offer the following:

 

            WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

          

WHEREAS, the lease for the office space used by the Ulster County Board of Elections and located at 284 Wall Street, Kingston is set to expire August 13, 2020; and

 

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has requested to renew the lease for a five-year term commencing August 14, 2020 and ending August 13, 2025, at an annual cost of $62,405.00 for the first year with a 3% increase for the following four years; and

 

WHEREAS, the lease shall contain a clause which will allow the tenant, County of Ulster, the option to terminate the Lease for any or no reason whatsoever upon a sixty (60) day written notice to the landlord; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of The Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute a lease agreement and any amendments thereto, with CPR Kingston, LLC, for 3,566 square feet of office space located at 284 Wall Street, Kingston, New York, to be used to house the Ulster County Board of Elections, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified and approved by the County Attorney,
