Chairman of the Legislative Programs, Education and Community Services Committee, James Delaune, and Deputy Chair Thomas Corcoran, offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on behalf of the Veteran Services Agency; and

 

WHEREAS, the approved 2020 – 2025 Capital Improvement Program includes a project “Veteran’s Cemetery” in the amount of $820,000.00 to construct the cemetery expansion and improvements; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 468 of November 20, 2018, the County established Capital Project No. 528 and provided funding for planning expenses with regard to expansion and improvements at the Veterans Cemetery located on Plains Road in the Town/Village of New Paltz to include walkways, hardscaping, and a committal shelter in the amount of $110,000.00; and

 

WHEREAS, Pursuant to Resolution No. 306 of July 16, 2019 the County provided additional funding to conduct the necessary studies to needed to comply with the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA, 6 NYCRR Part 617) in the amount of $42,000.00; and

 

WHEREAS, additional funds are necessary to conduct additional archeological studies to comply SEQRA and additional design costs needed to provide water supply for irrigation not included in the original project design scope; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the 2020 Ulster County Capital Fund is hereby amended as follows:
