Referred to: The Public Works, Capital Projects and Transportation Committee (Chairwoman Petit and Legislators Erner, Fabiano, Litts, and Nolan), and The Ways and Means Committee (Chairman Gavaris and Legislators Cahill, Roberts, Ronk, and Walter)
Chairwoman of the Public Works, Capital Projects and Transportation Committee, Laura Petit, and Deputy Chair Dean J. Fabiano offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, it is desired to retrofit approximately 1,300 lighting fixtures at Development Court to LED lamps, utilizing energy efficiency rebates from Central Hudson Gas & Electric Commercial Lighting Program; and
WHEREAS, Capital Project No. 611 for Development Court LED Lighting Retrofit was established pursuant to Resolution No. 516 dated November 16, 2021, in the amount of $55,000.00 for design services; and
WHEREAS, the project expenditures in the amount of $434,730 for the Development Court Lighting Retrofit, were approved in the 2023 – 2028 Capital Program; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests that Capital Project No. 611 be amended to increase the funding available for construction in the amount of $450,000.00 for a total project cost of $505,000.00; now, therefore be it
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests that Capital Project
No. 611 be amended and funded for construction; and
RESOLVED, that the 2023-2028 Ulster County Capital Improvement Program is amended as follows:
INCREASE AMOUNT
Capital Project No. 611 Development Court $70,270.00
LED Lighting Retrofit
and, be it further
RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 611 for the Development Court Lighting Retrofit be amended as follows:
INCREASE AMOUNT
Capital Project No. 611 Development Court $450,000.00

and, be it further
RESOLVED, that the 2023 Ulster County Capital Fund budget is hereby amended as follows:
