Chairwoman of the Energy, Environment and Sustainability Committee, Manna Jo Greene, and Deputy Chair Gina Hansut offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of the Environment; and

 

          WHEREAS, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) On-site Energy Manager Pilot Program Opportunity Notice (PON) 3701 seeks to demonstrate how a dedicated On-site Energy Manager (OsEM) can improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by delivering energy, process, and operational improvements; and

         

          WHEREAS, on-site energy manager consulting services supports the Ulster County government’s greenhouse gas emission reduction goals of forty percent (40%) by 2030 and eighty-five percent (85%) by 2050, with an interim target of twenty-five percent (25%) by 2025; and

 

WHEREAS, NYSERDA has committed cost share funding of up to 75% of the On-site Energy Manager Pilot Program fees; and

 

          WHEREAS, the County has selected Guth DeConzo Consulting Engineers PC to provide on-site energy manager consulting services through the NYSERDA On-site Energy Manager Pilot Program pursuant to RFP No. RFP-UC22-066 for a project term of 18 months; and

 

          WHEREAS, the County will provide the 25% matching funds required for successful completion of the On-site Energy Manager Pilot Program; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with NYSERDA, and any amendments thereto, for the On-site Energy Manager Pilot Program; and, be it further

 

 

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Guth DeConzo Consulting Engineers PC, and any amendments thereto, for the On-site Energy Manager Pilot Program; and, be it further

 

          RESOLVED, that the 2023 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
