Chairwoman of the Public Works, Capital Projects and Transportation Committee, Laura Petit, and Deputy Chair Dean J. Fabiano offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

 

WHEREAS, the County is currently leasing office space from Le Kingston Trois LLC, located at 535 Boices Lane, Kingston, NY, 12401, for the County’s Office of Employment and Training (“OET”) and the New York State Department of Labor (“NYSDOL”); and

 

WHEREAS, the County desires to enter into a new sublease with New York State Office of General Services (“OGS”) to reimburse the cost of 4,794 rentable square feet of office space that have been occupied by NYSDOL; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute a Government Entity Lease Disclosure Sheet for OGS for the purpose of initiating a sublease between County and NYSDOL; and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the County, the Memorandum of Understanding, and any amendments thereto, with the State of New York, Office of General Services, which memorandum will allow the State Department of Labor to use a portion of the 535 Boices Lane lease for a period ending on October 8, 2027 at a rate of $76,128.72 per year, which equates to a monthly payment of Six Thousand, Three hundred Forty-Four and 06/100 Dollars ($6,344.06) in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

 

and move its adoption.
