Referred to: The Public Works, Capital Projects and Transportation Committee (Chairwoman Petit and Legislators Fabiano, Litts, Nolan, and Stewart), and The Ways and Means Committee (Chairman Gavaris and Legislators Cahill, Fabiano, Ronk, and Walter)
Chairwoman of the Public Works, Capital Projects and Transportation Committee, Laura Petit, and Deputy Chair Dean J. Fabiano offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, the Boiceville Substation concrete slabs have deteriorated significantly due to extreme conditions and daily use to the point where it needs to be replaced; and
WHEREAS, the funds will be used to procure engineering services to design a new radiant heat floor system, floor drains, drywell, overhead garage doors and install a new surface through RFP-UC22-024; and
WHEREAS, the design phase will identify an option that does not use a fossil fuel, such as a solar water heater for electric radiant floors. Electric boilers or hybrid electric water heaters will be considered as potential design option; and
WHEREAS, the project expenditures in the amount of $275,000.00 for the Boiceville Substation Improvement Project, were approved in the 2022 – 2027 Capital Program; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests that Capital Project No. 638 be established and funded; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 638 for the Boiceville Substation Improvement Project be established as follows:

Capital Project No. 638 Boiceville Substation Improvements $27,000.00
and, be it further
RESOLVED, that the 2022 Ulster County Capital Fund budget is hereby amended as follows:
INCREASE AMOUNT
HH.5197.0635 -2300.2550 Engineering Services $27,000.00
