Chair of the Health, Human Services and Housing Committee, Eve Walter, and Deputy Chair Craig V. Lopez offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Ulster County Department of Social Services; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Social Services has received notification from the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) of the availability of federal funds for workforce recruitment and retention activities under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) of 2021; and
WHEREAS, the County will use the funds to recruit a workforce that is representative of the people it serves and to develop cultural competency skills in its current and prospective workforce through staff development and training; and
WHEREAS, in order to reflect the increased funding, an amendment of the 2022 budget is necessary; and
WHEREAS, no County contribution or matching funding is required; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the 2022 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
INCREASE AMOUNT
AA. 6010.2608-4300.4505 Professional Services Other Fees $ 30,000.00
