Chair of the Health, Human Services and Housing Committee, Eve Walter, and Deputy Chair Craig V. Lopez offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the County’s Department of Social Services (“DSS”); and

 

          WHEREAS, DSS has received notification from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (“OCFS”) of an allocation of $43,350.00 for the continuation of Safe Harbour programming for calendar year 2022; and

 

          WHEREAS, the funds will be used exclusively to expand and enhance services to raise awareness of the problem of sexual exploitation of children, and to provide for services to address the needs of sexually exploited youth; and

 

          WHEREAS, in order to reflect the increased funding, an amendment of the 2021 budget is necessary; and

 

          WHEREAS, no County contribution or matching funding is required; now, therefore, be it

 

          RESOLVED, that the 2022 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
