Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Eve Walter, and Deputy Chair Heidi Haynes offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Probation; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Ulster County Probation has requested that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature be authorized to amend a contract (NYS Comptroller’s No. C524070), and any amendments thereto, with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS # RT19524070) for the period April 1, 2018 through March 31, 2021 in the amount of $1,531,027.00; and

WHEREAS, these funds will be used for the Raise the Age Program though Ulster County Probation, working in collaboration and in accordance with the payment for portions of debt service for construction costs, Staff, Juvenile accountability Board, Transportation, and Behavioral Health Programs; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an agreement and any amendments thereto, pertaining to the contract (NYS Comptroller’s No. C524070) with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS # RT19524070) for the Raise the Age Program for the period April 1, 2018 through March 31, 2021 in the amount of $1,531,027.00, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Legislature, or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

and move its adoption.
