Referred to: The Ways and Means Committee (Chairman Gavaris and Legislators Archer, Bartels, Haynes, Maio, Parete, Ronk, and Walter)
Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, John Gavaris, and Deputy Chair Kenneth J. Ronk, Jr. offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Finance; and
WHEREAS, the Ulster County Commissioner of Finance has requested permission to refund the purchase price, deed recording fee, buyer’s premium and credit/debit card processing fee on a parcel that was acquired by the County by reason of nonpayment of taxes and which was sold at a public auction pursuant to Resolution No. 335 of August 17, 2021; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that personal service, as required by New York State Real Property Tax Law §1125, was incomplete on tax map number 102.2-7-11 in the Town of Marlborough; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that said purchaser will convey his interest in the property back to the County of Ulster, and
RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Commissioner of Finance is authorized to refund payment as follows upon receipt of said conveyance back to the County:

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Legislature and Ulster County Commissioner of Finance are authorized and empowered to take such measures as required by law to refund the purchase price and deed recording fee for this parcel with respect thereto,
and move its adoption.
