Chairman of the Economic Development, Tourism, Housing, Planning, and Transit Committee, Brian B. Cahill, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III, offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Employment and Training; and

 

WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Employment and Training requests that the County Executive be authorized to execute a Memorandum of Understanding, and any amendments, thereto, with the New York State Department of Labor, the New York State Education Department, the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and the New York State Commission for the Blind; and

 

WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding will be executed between the Ulster County Workforce Development Board and system partners, including the New York State Education Department; the New York State Department of Labor; the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and the New York State Commission for the Blind; the Ulster County Department of Social Services; Associates for Training and Development, Inc.; Job Corps; Ulster YouthBuild; and Pathstone Corporation; and

 

WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding outlines service delivery and coordination in the local workforce system, for the term of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2023; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute a Memorandum of Understanding, with any amendments thereto, between the Ulster County Workforce Development Board and workforce system partners, for the period beginning July 1, 2020 and ending June 30, 2023, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

 

and move its adoption.
