Chairman of the Public Health and Social Services Committee, Craig V. Lopez, and Deputy Chair Kathy Nolan offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Social Services; and

            WHEREAS, the Department of Social Services has received notification from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (“OCFS”) of the availability of Family First Transition funds, which will help the Department of Social Services support, recruit, and retain current and prospective foster families, including kinship caregivers; and

            WHEREAS, the County will use the funds to engage and support kinship caregivers as part of its recruitment and retention strategies; and

            WHEREAS, in order to reflect the increased funding, an amendment of the 2019 Ulster County Budget is necessary; and

            WHEREAS, no County contribution or matching funding is required; now, therefore, be it

            RESOLVED, that the 2019 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
