Chairman of the Economic Development, Tourism, Housing, Planning, and Transit Committee, Brian J. Woltman, and Deputy Chair Lynn Archer offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the Acting County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Transportation; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Transportation was previously awarded the following Federal Transportation Administration Grants for County Fiscal Year 2017 and 2018:

1. Mass Transportation Project NY-2017-015, Section 5339, Facility Improvements and Upgrades (PIN #8TRU82)

2. Mass Transportation Project NY-2018-009, Sections 5307/5339, Project Administration (PIN #8TRU14), Preventive Maintenance (PIN #8TRU76), one (1) 40’ bus and three (3) less than 30' buses (PIN #8TRU79)

3. Mass Transportation Project NY-2018-055, Section 5307, Project Administration (PIN #8TRU14) and Preventive Maintenance (PIN# 8TRU76)

4. Mass Transportation Project NY-2018-073, Sections 5307/5339, Project Administration (PIN #8TRU14) and two (2) less than 30’ buses (PIN #8TRU79); and

WHEREAS, these grants are funded at a rate of 80% Federal, 10% New York State share and 10% local financing; and

WHEREAS, the Federal share and the local share of these projects were previously administered and expended; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Transportation has received notification that the New York State share is available; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an agreement (Contract K007205, Schedule A, Supplemental #3) and any related amendments with the New York State Department of Transportation in order to accept the New York State Share for Federal Fiscal Year 2019 Mass Transportation Capital Projects, in the total amount of $336,711.00, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature, or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

and move its adoption.
