Referred to: The Public Health and Social Services Committee (Chairman Lopez and Legislators Collins, Nolan, Petit, and Wawro), and The Ways and Means Committee (Chairwoman Archer and Legislators Gerentine, Maio, James Maloney, Joseph Maloney, Petit, and Rodriguez)
Chairman of the Public Health and Social Services Committee, Craig V. Lopez, and Deputy Chair Kathy Nolan offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on behalf of the County’s Department of Social Services (“DSS”); and
WHEREAS, DSS has received notification from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (“OCFS”) of the allocation of $4,762 in funding from the National Center on Child Abuse and Neglect (“NCCAN”) for the improvement of the Family Assessment Response program; and
WHEREAS, the funds will be used exclusively to provide families with access to short-term or one-time goods and/or services to meet their needs to help keep their children safe and to reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect; and
WHEREAS, to reflect the increased funding, an amendment of the 2019 Ulster County Budget is necessary; and
WHEREAS, no County contribution or matching funding is required; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the 2019 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as follows:

AA. 6010.2614-4600.4660 Misc Contractual Expense Other $ 4,762.00
