James Maloney, Joseph Maloney, and Petit)

Chairman of the Public Health and Social Services Committee, Craig V. Lopez, and

Deputy Chair Kathy Nolan offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Social Services; and

 WHEREAS, the Department of Social Services has received notification from

New York State Children’s Alliance (NYSCA) of a grant of $7,000 to be used to

support training of Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) staff at the Family and Child

Advocacy Center during calendar year 2018, as per NYSCA award letter dated June

15, 2018; and

 WHEREAS, the funds will be used exclusively to train members of the MDT,

who investigate all reports made to the State Central Registry for Child Abuse and

Maltreatment with allegations of child sexual abuse, serious physical abuse including

any child fatalities, and domestic violence; and

 WHEREAS, in order to reflect the increased funding an amendment of the

2018 budget is necessary; and

 WHEREAS, no County contribution or matching funding is required; now,

therefore, be it

 RESOLVED, that the 2018 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as

follows:

 INCREASE AMOUNT

AA. 6010.2608-4300.4505 Professional Services Other Fees $7,000.00
