Chairman of the Economic Development, Tourism, Housing, Planning, and Transit

Committee, James F. Maloney, and Deputy Chair Hector Rodriguez offers the

following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Public Transportation, and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Transportation was previously awarded the

following Mass Transportation Capital Project Grants for Federal Fiscal Year 2018:

1. Mass Transportation Capital Project TC-17-ULS-S-00, Public

Modernization Enhancement and Improvement Grant (PIN#8TRU85)

2. Accelerated Transit Capital ATC-17-ULS-00 received to offset 10%

local Ulster County share paid by NYS DOT, and Communication/Bus Lift Purchase.

WHEREAS, these grants are funded at a rate of 100% State financing; and

WHEREAS, the Accelerate Transit Capital 10% local offset had a Federal

share and the local share that were previously administered and expended; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Transportation has received notification

that the New York State share is available; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby

authorized to execute an agreement (Contract K7205, Supplemental Schedule 2) and

any amendments thereto, with the New York State Department of Transportation in

order to accept the New York State Share for Federal Fiscal Year 2018 Mass

Transportation Capital Projects, in the total amount of $1,710,807.00, in the form as

filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature, or as modified with the

approval of the County Attorney, 

and move its adoption.
