Chairman of the Health, Human Services and Housing Committee, Abe Uchitelle, and Deputy Chair Craig V. Lopez offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Ulster County Department of Social Services; and

 

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of the Ulster County Department of Social Services requests that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature be authorized to execute an Inter-Municipal Agreement with the New York State Department of Health, Bureau of Early Intervention, for the period April 1, 2023 through March 31, 2028; and

 

WHEREAS, the mission of the Early Intervention Program is to identify and evaluate as early as possible those infants and toddlers whose health and development are compromised and provide appropriate therapeutic and support services and interventions to improve child and family development; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is authorized to execute the inter-municipal agreement, and any amendments thereto, with New York State Department of Health, for the Early Intervention Services Program, for the period beginning April 1, 2023 through March 31, 2028, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

 

and move its adoption.
