Chairman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Abe Uchitelle, and Deputy Chair Gina Hansut offer the following:

 

WHERAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the Ulster County Sheriff; and

 

WHEREAS, this resolution is requesting acceptance of an Award for the Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Assistance FY22 Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Abuse Site-based Program (COSSAP) Grant; and

 

WHEREAS, the acceptance of Award Number 15PBJA-22-GG-04458-COAP will provide the Sheriff’s Office the ability to extend the funding of the Oracle program for an additional 3 years in the amount of $1,299,960.00; now, therefore be it

         

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an agreement for the Department of Justice BJA FY 2022 Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Abuse Site-based Program Grant,

 

and move its adoption.
