Chairman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Abe Uchitelle, and Deputy Chair Gina Hansut offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the Acting County Executive on behalf of the Department of Probation; and

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Ulster County Department of Probation has requested that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature be authorized to amend a contract (DCJ01-C01036GG-1090000) with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services to continue services of the Sexual Assault Crisis and Prevention Program through Ulster County Probation Crime Victims Assistance Program by extending the contract period from October 1, 2020 – September 30, 2023 and increase the funding by $75,430.00 to a total amount of $226,290.00; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Probation administers the Crime Victim Assistance Program which aids victims and witnesses of crimes; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Probation has been has been awarded funding in the amount of $75,430.00 for the period October 1, 2021 – September 30, 2022, which will provide funding to the Sexual Assault Crisis and Prevention Program’s efforts in administering prevention, training, education, and support services to victims of sexual assault; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an agreement and any amendments thereto, pertaining to the contract (DCJ01-C01036GG-1090000) with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services Sexual Assault and Prevention Program for the period October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2023 in the amount of $226,290.00, as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature, or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

 

and move its adoption.
