Chair of the Health, Human Services and Housing Committee, Eve Walter, and Deputy Chair Craig V. Lopez offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Ulster County Department of Mental Health; and

 

          WHEREAS, the Ulster County Department of Mental Health has received notification from the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) of increased funding for Medication Assisted Treatment and Peer Support for the jail population as per OASAS State Aid Funding Authorization dated July 14, 2022; and 

 

          WHEREAS, in order to reflect the increased funding, an amendment of the 2022 budget is necessary; and

 

          WHEREAS, there is no increase in County Contribution as a result of these modifications; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Legislature hereby approves the contract amendment with New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) for increased funding for Medication Assisted Treatment and Peer Support for the jail population as per OASAS State Aid Funding Authorization dated July 14, 2022; and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, that the 2022 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
