Chairwoman of the Public Works, Capital Projects and Transportation Committee, Laura Petit, and Deputy Chair Dean J. Fabiano offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

 

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has been notified by the New York State Department of Transportation of an increase in Consolidated Local Street and Highway Improvement Program (CHIPS) funding for Ulster County Highway Capital Improvements in the amount of $621,494.55 for the State fiscal year 2022-2023; and

 

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has been notified by the New York State Department of Transportation of an increase in PAVE NY funding for Ulster County Highway Capital Improvements in the amount of $343,740.43 for the State fiscal year 2022-2023; and

 

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has been notified by the New York State Department of Transportation of an allotment in Emergency Winter Recovery (EWR) funding for Ulster County Highway Capital Improvements in the amount of $617,995.92 for the State fiscal year 2022-2023; and

 

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has been notified by the New York State Department of Transportation of an allotment in Pave our Potholes (POP) funding for Ulster County Highway Capital Improvements in the amount of $685,882.95 for the State fiscal year 2022-2023; and

 

WHEREAS, there exists a 2021 CHIPS budget balance of $653,449.35 to be rolled over into the 2022 Budget; and

 

WHEREAS, it is necessary to adjust the Budget to reflect the net difference of the rollover balance and State allotment in funding; and

 

 

 

 

 

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests the 2022 CHIPS / PAVE NY / EWR / POP appropriations and revenues be increased by $2,922,564.00 ($653,449.35 rollover plus the $621,494.55 CHIPS increase, the $343,740.43 PAVE-NY increase, the $617,995.92 EWR appropriation, and the $685,882.95 POP appropriation); now therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the 2022 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
