Chairman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Abe Uchitelle, and Deputy Chair Gina Hansut offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to section A3-4(J) of the Ulster County Administrative Code, the County Executive has negotiated a collective bargaining agreement between the County and the Deputy Sheriff’s Police Benevolent Association, Inc. (‘PBA’) on behalf of the Ulster County Deputy Sheriffs’ Superior Officers’ Unit; and

 

WHEREAS, the agreement is for the period January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2024; and

 

            WHEREAS, the contract results in a 3.5% increase in base salary in 2020, 3.5% increase in base salary in 2021, a 2.0% increase in base salary in and an increase in longevity and on-call pay in 2022, a 2.25% increase in base salary in 2023, and a 2.25% increase in base salary in 2024; and

           

            WHEREAS, pursuant to section A2-5(9) of the Ulster County Administrative Code, all labor contracts must be approved by the County Legislature; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Legislature hereby approves the Memorandum of Agreement covering the period January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2024, between the County of Ulster and the Ulster County PBA on behalf of the Ulster County Sheriff’s Superior Officers’ Unit; and be it further

 

RESOLVED, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute a Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Ulster County PBA on behalf of the Ulster County Sheriff’s Superior Officers’ Unit, in accordance with the executed Memorandum of Agreement, and be it further

 

RESOLVED, that the 2022 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
