Chairwoman of the Public Works, Capital Projects and Transportation Committee, Laura Petit, and Deputy Chair Dean J. Fabiano offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1411 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law (“N-PCL”) of the State (herein, the “Act”), the Corporation was established as a not-for-profit local development corporation; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Act, the Corporation may operate exclusively for the charitable or public purposes of relieving and reducing unemployment, promoting and providing for additional and maximum employment, bettering and maintaining job opportunities, instructing or training individuals to improve or develop their capabilities for such jobs, carrying on scientific research for the purpose of aiding a community or geographical area by attracting new industry to the community or area or by encouraging the development of, or retention of, an industry in the community or area, and lessening the burdens of government and acting in the public interest; and

 

WHEREAS, the Enterprise West Facility was transferred to the Ulster County Economic Development Alliance, Inc. by deed on the 27th day of May, 2021; and

 

WHEREAS, Ulster County Economic Development Alliance, Inc. has agreed to enter into a Lease Agreement, as lessor, with the County, as lessee pursuant to the terms and conditions approved by the County Attorney’s Office; now, therefore be it

 

            RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to enter into a lease agreement Ulster County Economic Development Alliance, Inc. for space at the Enterprise West Facility located at 101-899 Enterprise Drive, Kingston, New York 12401 as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified and approved by the County Attorney,    

 

 

 

and moves its adoption.
