Chairwoman of the Public Works, Capital Projects and Transportation Committee, Laura Petit, and Deputy Chair Dean J. Fabiano offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Code of the County of Ulster, Chapter 185 Electrical Standards, § 185-5 Electrical licensing board, the board was established to consist of nine (9) individuals who reside in Ulster County, appointed by the County Executive for staggered terms, subject to confirmation by the County Legislature; and

 

WHEREAS, further pursuant to § 185-5, the County Executive has reappointed the following members who held a previous term that expired 12/31/2021:

 

One (1) member representing the licensing board of the City of Kingston:

James Sass, for a term of present through 12/31/2026;

 

One (1) union contractor who shall be a licensed Master Electrician:

Scott McCarthy, for a term of present through 12/31/2026; and

 

            WHEREAS, additionally the County Executive has made the following appointment to a vacant seat:

 

One (1) individual who is qualified as an Electrical Inspector in New York State:

            Chris Peone, for a term of present through 12/31/2026; and

 

            WHEREAS, as a result of the appointment made to the vacant seat, an additional vacancy was created in one of the seats for a member of the public, and the County Executive has made the following appointment:

 

One (1) member of the public:

Michael Catalano, for a term of present through 12/31/2026; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Legislature hereby confirms the reappointments and appointments of the above-mentioned individuals as members of the Ulster County Electrical Licensing Board in the seats and for the terms indicated above,

 

 

 

 

and moves its adoption.
