Chairman of the ARPA Special Committee, Peter J. Criswell, and Deputy Chair Thomas Corcoran, Jr. offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Finance, Division of Recovery and Resilience; and

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature passed Resolution No. 31 funding capital project Number 602 in the amount of two million dollars ($2,000,000) for an extension of sewer and water infrastructure under the New York State Thruway;

 

WHEREAS, the County and the Town of Ulster (the “Town”) desire to enter into an Intermunicipal Agreement (IMA) where the Town of Ulster will be a subrecipient of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000) of American Rescue Plan Act – Coronavirus State and Local Financial Recovery Funds (SLFRF); and

 

WHEREAS the Town will be responsible under the IMA for administering a program to complete the extension of sewer and water lines from the east side of the New York State Thruway to the Town of Ulster and the address of 114 Route 28, Kingston, NY 12401 (S/B/L 48.14-1-27); now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute the Inter Municipal Agreement for a Sewer and Water Line extension with the Town of Ulster in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney, 

 

and move its adoption.
