Chairman of the Economic Development, Tourism, Housing, Planning, and Transit Committee, Brian B. Cahill, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution is submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Information of Services; and

 

WHEREAS, the New York State Office of Information Technology Services is coordinating the collection of up to date aerial imagery in Ulster County during the spring of 2021 as part of the Statewide Digital Orthoimagery Program; and

 

WHEREAS, the statewide Digital Orthoimagery Program offers the County the ability to upgrade imagery from the base program deliverable; and

 

WHEREAS, the County requires upgraded imagery for public safety, environmental, and planning applications, and to support existing geographic information system program projects; and

 

WHEREAS, the County submitted a letter of commitment to the New York State Office of Information Technology Services in February of 2021 so that the state could proceed with project flight planning; and

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Information Services requests that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature be authorized to execute an agreement and any amendments to the Statewide Digital Orthoimagery Data Enhancement funding agreement with New York State Office of Information Technology Services; and

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Information Services requests that the Statewide Digital Orthoimagery Program funding agreement with New York State Office Information Technology Services be approved in the amount of $76,830.00; and

 

WHEREAS, the funding for this agreement has been approved as an allowable expense for the State Homeland Security Program Grant funding through Ulster County Emergency Management; now, therefore be it

 

 

 

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute the Statewide Digital Orthoimagery Program funding agreement and any amendments to the agreement with New York State Office of Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure Coordination,

 

and move its adoption.
