Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Eve Walter, and Deputy Chair Heidi Haynes offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the Ulster County Sheriff; and

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office has secured a public protection grant in the amount of $11,220.00 from New York Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee for the term of October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022, funded by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles; and

 

WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used to reimburse the County budget lines where the expenses are incurred for this activity; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an agreement to accept the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee Grant, for the period beginning October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney, in consultation with Counsel to the County Legislature, Chair of the County Legislature, and the Chair and Deputy Chair of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee,

 

and move its adoption.
