Chairman of the Economic Development, Tourism, Housing, Planning, and Transit Committee, Brian B. Cahill, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

WHEREAS, this Resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Ulster County Office of Employment and Training; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Office of Employment and Training is requesting an amendment to the 2021 Budget to add the additional funding of $81,548 provided through the New York State Office of Temporary Assistance (OTDA) to supplement the operation of the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP); and 

WHEREAS, $18,548 will be used towards staff salaries for the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP); and

WHEREAS, $63,000 will be used towards the wages for the youth and young adults employed through the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP); and

            WHEREAS, in order to reflect the expenses and revenues of the additional funding, an amendment of the 2021 budget is necessary; and

            WHEREAS, there is no increase in County Contribution as a result of these modifications; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an amendment to the 2021 budget, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney; and, be it further

RESOLOVED, that the 2021 County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
