Chairman of the Public Health and Social Services Committee, Craig V. Lopez, and Deputy Chair Peter J. Criswell offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Ulster County Department of Social Services; and

WHEREAS, New York State is the recipient of the United States Department of Education funding for Special Education Grants for infants and families (CFDA 84.181) which is administered as a pass through to local agencies; and

WHEREAS, theCommissioner oftheUlsterCountyDepartmentofSocial Servicesrequeststhatthe Chairofthe UlsterCountyLegislaturebeauthorizedto enter into an agreement (NYS Contract No. C36440GG) and any amendments thereto to receive funding in the annual amount of $103,548.00 for the five year term beginning October 1, 2021 and ending September 30, 2026; and

WHEREAS, in order to reflect the increased funding, an amendment of the 2021 budget is necessary; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an agreement, and any amendments thereto, with the New York State Department of Health for the Early Intervention Program (NYS Contract No. C36440GG) in the annual amount of $103,548.00 for the term of October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney; and, be it further

RESOLVED, that the 2021 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
