Chairman of the Economic Development, Tourism, Housing, Planning, and Transit Committee, Brian B. Cahill, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Economic Development; and

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Department of Economic Development has identified small business funding assistance as an eligible activity under the New York State Main Street program (NYMS) and intends to prepare an application requesting $500,000.00 in funding to support a project known as the Accord Granary Project; and

 

WHEREAS, the County of Ulster is eligible to apply to the NYS Office of Community Renewal for a NYMS Grant for funds in an amount of $500,000.00 for the Accord Granary Project; and

 

WHEREAS, there are specific requirements and regulations governing the expenditure of these funds; and

 

WHEREAS, this action is categorized under 6 NYCRR, Part 617.5 as Type II; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that Administration of all funds under this grant will be in accordance with all terms and conditions contained in guidelines provided by NYS Office of Community Renewal; and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to sign an application for funds from NYS Office of Community Renewal for a NYMS Grant, as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney, and the Chair and Deputy Chair of the Economic Development, Tourism, Housing, Planning and Transit Committee,

 

and move its adoption.
