Referred to: The Economic Development, Tourism, Housing, Planning and Transit Committee (Chairman Woltman and Legislators Archer, Delaune, Litts, Maio, Maloney, and Rodriguez), and The Ways and Means Committee (Chairwoman Archer and Legislators Gerentine, Maio, Maloney, Petit, Rodriguez, and Ronk)
Chairman of the Economic Development, Tourism, Housing, Planning, and Transit Committee, Brian J. Woltman, and Deputy Chair Lynn Archer offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on behalf of Ulster County Area Transit (“UCAT”); and
WHEREAS, Ulster County is a designated recipient of funding through New York State Department of Transportation (“NYSDOT”) Accelerated Transit Capital Program; and
WHEREAS, UCAT was sent an award letter for this funding on June 28, 2019; and
WHEREAS, funding from the grant would allow UCAT to invest and repair its capital assets and allocate funding to cover the required local share of federal capital grants; and
WHEREAS, the cost for these improvements will be borne up to the following ratio: 100% State Share ($174,547); now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Legislature hereby authorizes a grant application to the NYSDOT Accelerated Transit Capital Program; and, be it further
RESOLVED, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute any required applications or agreements, and any related amendments, to accept the funding agreement with NYSDOT,
and move its adoption.
