Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Eve Walter, and Deputy Chair Heidi Haynes offer the following:

            WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Probation, and

            WHEREAS, The Director of Ulster County Probation has requested that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature be authorized to execute a contract (NYS Comptroller’s No. C524070), and any amendments thereto, with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS#RT19524070) for the period April 1, 2018 through March 31, 2020 in the amount of $812,788.00; and

            WHEREAS, these funds will be used for the Raise the Age Program through U.C. Probation, working in collaboration and in accordance with the payment for portion of debt service for construction costs, Staff, Juvenile Accountability Board, Low Intensity Mentoring, Transportation, and Behavioral Health programs; and

            RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is authorized to execute a contract (NYS Comptroller’s No. C524070), and any amendments thereto, with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS #RT19524070), for the Raise the Age Program for the period April 1, 2018 through March 31, 2020 in the amount of $812,788.00, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Legislature, or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

and move its adoption.
