Chairman of the Public Health and Social Services Committee, Craig V. Lopez, and

Deputy Chair Kathy Nolan offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Health; and

WHEREAS, the County recognizes that fieldwork by local college students

offer mutual benefits to the college, its students, and the residents of Ulster County;

and

WHEREAS, the Department of Health, in agreement with the SUNY

Cortland, desires to serve as a site for fieldwork assignment, at no cost to the County;

and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of the Department of Health requests that the

Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature be authorized to execute an

intermunicipal agreement with SUNY Cortland for fieldwork assignment at the

Department of Health; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby

authorized to execute an intermunicipal agreement, and any amendments thereto,

with SUNY Cortland for a fieldwork assignment at the Department of Health, in the

form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the

approval of the County Attorney,

and move its adoption.
