Chairman of the Legislature, Kenneth J. Ronk, Jr. offers the following:

WHEREAS, this Resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, on May 21, 2012, the County of Ulster entered into a lease with

The American National Red Cross as Lessor, for lease of the entire premises located

at 21 O’Neil Street in the City of Kingston, Ulster County, New York, with a term

commencing May 1, 2012, and ending on April 30, 2017, to use and occupy the

premises as Ulster County’s Child and Family Advocacy Center; and

WHEREAS, said Parties now find it mutually beneficial that The American

National Red Cross shall sell and the County of Ulster shall purchase said premises at

21 O’Neil Street, Kingston, New York, for the amount of One Hundred Forty

Thousand and 00/100 ($140,000.00) Dollars; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby

authorized to execute an agreement, any amendments thereto, and such other

documents as may be necessary, with the American National Red Cross, to establish

the terms and conditions pursuant to which The American National Red Cross shall

sell and the County of Ulster shall purchase and take title to 21 O’Neil Street in the

City of Kingston, County of Ulster and State of New York, in the form as filed with

the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature, or as modified with the approval of the

Ulster County Attorney,

and moves its adoption.
