Majority Leader Gregorius and Minority Leader Ronk offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Ulster County Department of Emergency Communications / Emergency

Management; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Emergency Communications / Emergency

Management has received notification from the New York State Division of

Homeland Security and Emergency Services regarding the State Fiscal Year 2014-

2015 Public Safety Answering Point Sustainment Grant; and

WHEREAS, the purpose of this program is to facilitate the development,

consolidation, and improved operations of public safety answering points; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Emergency Communications / Emergency

Management requests that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature be

authorized to enter into an agreement (NYS Contract# C198479), and any

amendments thereto, with the New York State Division of Homeland Security and

Emergency Services for the contract period January 1, 2015 through December 31,

2015, in the amount of $162,798.00; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby

authorized to execute an Agreement (NYS Contract# C198479), and any

amendments thereto, with the New York State Division of Homeland Security and

Emergency Services for participation in the Public Safety Answering Point

Sustainment Grant for State Fiscal Year 2014-2015, in the amount of $162,798.00, in

the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with

the approval of the County Attorney; and, be it further

RESOLVED, that the 2015 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as

follows:

 

INCREASE AMOUNT

AA.3020.1800-2300.2500 Other Equipment $162,798.00

AA.3020.1800-3400.4305 FA, Civil Defense $162,798.00

and, be it further

RESOLVED, that if the funding for this program is eliminated, the program

will be eliminated as well,

and move its adoption.
