Chairwoman of the Economic Development, Planning, Education, Employment, Arts and Agriculture Committee, Megan Sperry, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of SUNY Ulster; and

 

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 216 dated May 21, 2019 established capital project No. 542 SUNY Ulster - HVAC Upgrades Campuswide in the amount of $200,000.00; and

 

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 218, dated May 18, 2021 approved an increase in funding in the amount of $801,050.00 for design and construction services of the Hardenberg Hall HVAC, making the project total $1,001,050.00; and

 

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 35, dated February 18, 2025 approved an increase in funding in the amount of $500,000.00 for design and construction services of next phase of HVAC replacements, including Vanderlyn Hall, making the project total $1,501,050.00; and

 

WHEREAS, the 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Program included a fiscal year ended December 31, 2025 budget of $10,000,000.00 for Site Work Improvements; and

 

WHEREAS, SUNY Ulster has many buildings where HVAC systems are either nonexistent, malfunctioning or in of updates due to inefficiencies. SUNY Ulster is looking for an assessment and upgrades to install and replace all the HVAC systems in all of the buildings across campus; and

 

WHEREAS, SUNY Ulster Board of Trustees approved amendment to Capital Project No. 542 – HVAC Upgrades Campuswide via Resolution No. 25-06-XX; and

 

 

 

 

WHEREAS, the $1,000,000.00 cost for design and construction services of the Vanderlyn Hall Cafeteria and Bookstore/Art Room HVAC and upgrade of the building management system (BMS) in Vanderlyn Hall, would be divided as follows: $500,000.00 State and $500,000.00 Ulster County; now, therefore be it

           

RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 542 HVAC Upgrades Campuswide is hereby amended as follows:
