Referred to: The Health, Human Services and Human Rights Committee (Chairman Uchitelle and Legislators Collins, Corcoran, Harmon, Kitchen, Lopez, and McCollough), and The Ways and Means Committee (Chairman Gavaris and Legislators Collins, Hansut, Kovacs, Nolan, Roberts, and Uchitelle)
Chairman of the Health, Human Services and Human Rights Committee, Abe Uchitelle, and Deputy Chair Craig V. Lopez offer the following:
WHEREAS, this Resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Health (DOH); and
WHEREAS, the Ulster County Department of Health has received notification from the New York Department of Health of an allocation of $23,286.00 for participating in the Local Health Department Performance Incentive Program; and
WHEREAS, the funds are intended to be used exclusively to support costs associated with eligible services pursuant to New York State Public Health Law Article 6; and
WHEREAS, the funds will be used to develop and promote a marketing campaign that will bring awareness to preventing chronic disease though physical activity; and
WHEREAS, the area of focus will be the City of Kingston, as they were a key collaborative partner in securing the incentive; and
WHEREAS, in order to reflect this, an amendment of the 2025 budget is necessary; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the 2025 County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
