Chair of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Kathy Nolan, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

 

WHEREAS this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

 

WHEREAS, the present lease agreement with O & W Station LLC, for 4,677 square feet of office space for Family & Child Advocacy Center at 51 Hurley Avenue, Kingston New York will expire on March 31, 2025; and

 

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has requested the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature to enter into a lease extension agreement with O & W Station LLC, to renew the lease for an additional one (1) year period beginning April 1, 2025 and ending March 31, 2026, at $20.25 per square foot cost, which shall be payable in monthly installments totaling $7,892.44 per month, totaling $94,709.25 for the duration of the Lease Extension Agreement and a common area maintenance fee of $7,015.50; and

 

WHEREAS, the lease shall contain common area maintenance fees that will be billed separately in accordance with the lease; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to enter into a Lease Extension Agreement, and any amendments thereto, with O & W Station LLC for office space located at 51 Hurley Avenue, Kingston, New York to be used to house the Family & Child Advocacy Center, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified and approved by the Ulster County Attorney,     

 

and moves its adoption.
