Chair of the Legislature, Peter J. Criswell, offers the following:

            WHEREAS, the County of Ulster and the Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency (UCRRA) have entered into and have previously amended the Service Agreement; and

WHEREAS, the current Service Agreement expires on March 31, 2025; and

WHEREAS, discussions regarding a new solid waste service agreement between Ulster County and UCRRA are ongoing; and

WHEREAS, Ulster County and UCRRA agree that a sixty-day extension to the existing agreement will allow for additional time for negotiations; now, therefore be it 

RESOLVED, the Ulster County Legislature hereby authorizes the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature to sign an amendment to the Service Agreement with the UCRRA that extends the existing service agreement for sixty days, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature,

and move its adoption.
