Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, and Deputy Chair Chris Hewitt offer the following:

          WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the Ulster County Sheriff; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office is requesting to establish a capital project for the purchase and installation of Axon in car camera systems; and

  WHEREAS, the Capital will cover the addition of software and hardware to allow car camera access in connection to the existing Axon camera system; and

WHEREAS, the Patrol Division has already transferred to Axon and this will put the whole department on the same system; and 

WHEREAS, a grant has been awarded to offset the 2025 cost of the Axon system in the amount of $ 211,500.00; and

WHEREAS, the 2025 – 2030 Capital Program contains a project called “Axon In-car Camera Upgrades” funded in the amount of $320,000.00; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the 2025 - 2030 Capital Improvement Program to increase the Axon in-car camera system based on the updated five-year plan; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the 2025 - 2030 Ulster County Capital Improvement Program is amended as follows:

RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 719 for Axon In Car Camera System be established as follows:
