Chairman of the Health, Human Services and Housing Committee, Abe Uchitelle, and Deputy Chair Craig V. Lopez offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Ulster County Department of Mental Health; and
WHEREAS, the Ulster County Department of Mental Health has received notification from the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) for increased funding due to a 2.84% Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) effective April 1, 2024 as per a New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) State Aid letter dated July 9, 2024; and
WHEREAS, to reflect the increased funding, an amendment of the 2024 budget is necessary; and
WHEREAS, there is no increase in County Contribution as a result of these modifications; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Legislature hereby authorizes execution of documentation with OASAS required for acceptance of this increased funding; and, be it further
RESOLVED, that the 2024 Ulster County Operating Budget is hereby amended as follows:
