Chairman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Thomas J. Briggs,

and Deputy Chairman Ronald G. Lapp, Jr. offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff is requesting the Chairman of the

Ulster County Legislature execute a contract # TM02246, DCJS # LG03102246 for

November 1, 2016 until October 31, 2017 with New York State Department of

Criminal Justice. Reimbursement funding will be used to replenish funds used pay

URGENT Members Overtime when conducting Drug Abatement cases, up to the

amount of $2,500; and

 WHEREAS, in order to reflect the increased funding, an amendment of the

2017 budget is necessary; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the 2017 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as

follows:

and be it further;

RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby

authorized to enter into an agreement, and any amendments thereto, with the New

York State Division of Criminal Justice Services for the purpose of Ulster County’s

participation in the New York State Drug Abatement Project Grant DCJS #

LG03102246, for the period November 1, 2016 through October 31, 2017 in the

amount of $2,500, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County

Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney in consultation

with the Chairman of the Legislature and the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the

Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, 

 

and move its adoption.
