Referred to: The Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee (Chairman Briggs
and Legislators Fabiano, Lapp, Maio, and Rodriguez)
Chairman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Thomas J. Briggs,
and Deputy Chairman Ronald G. Lapp, Jr. offer the following:
WHEREAS, Town of Lloyd Town Board approved the donation of a vehicle
to the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team (“URGENT”) for the use
as an unmarked vehicle on October 26, 2017; and
WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the donation of
said vehicle from the Town of Lloyd be approved by the Ulster County Legislature;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the County of Ulster, by and through the Ulster County
Sheriff, is hereby authorized to accept a donation of a vehicle from the Town of
Lloyd for use as an unmarked vehicle by URGENT,
and move its adoption.
