Legislator Craig V. Lopez offers the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, the Project expenditures in the amount of $655,000.00 were

approved in the 2017 – 2022 Capital Program; and

WHEREAS, Capital Project Nos. 345 – 351 were established pursuant to

Resolution No. 153, dated June 21, 2011; and

WHEREAS, the Project will provide ADA compliant building accessibility at

various Ulster County Buildings by making mandated restorations, replacements or

upgrades to improve accessibility for disabled persons pursuant to the Federal

Americans With Disabilities Act guidelines; and

WHEREAS, the Project was estimated at $655,000.00, and bids have

exceeded the estimate by $230,596.00, for a total project cost of $885,596.00; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests that the 2017-2022

Capital Program - Building Accessibility Upgrades and Renovations (ADA

Compliance) – Various County Buildings be amended to reflect a change in cost

from $655,000.00 to $885,596.00; and

RESOLVED, that the 2017 Ulster County Capital Fund is hereby amended as

follows:
