Chairman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Thomas J. Briggs,

and Deputy Chairman Ronald G. Lapp, Jr. offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, effective April 1, 2016, the New York State Legislature

increased the annual salary of the Ulster County Court Judge to $183,400.00; and

 WHEREAS, Section 183-A of the New York State Judiciary Law requires the

annual salary of the District Attorney be equivalent to the annual salary of the County

Court Judge; and

 WHEREAS, it is now necessary to increase the annual salary of the District

Attorney from $167,298.00 to $183,400.00, an increase of $16,102.00; now,

therefore, be it

 RESOLVED, that the annual salary of the Ulster County District Attorney is

hereby increased to $183,400.00 pursuant to the requirement of Section 183-A of the

New York State Judiciary Law; and be it further;

RESOLVED, that the 2016 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as

follows:

 INCREASE AMOUNT

AA.1165.1031.1300.1300 Regular Pay $16,102.00

and moves its adoption.
