Referred to: The Economic Development, Tourism, Housing, Planning and Transit
Committee (Chairman Briggs and Legislators Allen, Archer, Litts, Maio, Maloney,
and Rodriguez), and The Ways and Means Committee (Chairman Gerentine and
Legislators Bartels, Belfiglio, Briggs, Maio, Maloney, Richard Parete, and
Rodriguez)
Chairman of the Economic Development, Tourism, Housing, Planning and Transit
Committee, Thomas J. Briggs, and Deputy Chairman James F. Maloney offer the
following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive
on behalf of the Department of Public Transportation; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Transportation was previously
awarded the following three Mass Transportation Capital Project Grants for
Federal Fiscal Year 2013 Mass Transportation Capital Projects:
(1) NY90X72000 Section 5307 Preventative Maintenance (PIN# 8TRU 76),
(2) Project Administration (PIN# 8TRU 14), and
(3) Two <30’ Cutaway buses (PIN# 8TRU 62); and
WHEREAS, these grants are funded at a rate of 80% federal, 10% state
and 10% local financing; and
WHEREAS, the Federal share and the local share of these projects were
previously administered and expended; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Transportation has received
notification that the New York State share is available; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is
hereby authorized to execute an agreement (Contract No. K007046), and any
amendments thereto, with the New York State Department of Transportation in
order to accept the New York State share for Federal Fiscal Year 2013 Mass
Transportation Capital Projects (PIN# 8TRU 76; PIN# 8TRU 14; and PIN#
8TRU 62), in the total amount of $154,500, in the form as filed with the Clerk

of the Ulster County Legislature, or as modified with the approval of the
County Attorney, Counsel to the County Legislature, Chairman of the County
Legislature, and the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Economic
Development, Tourism , Housing, Planning, and Transit Committee,
and move its adoption.
