Chairman of the Public Health and Social Services Committee, Craig V. Lopez, and

Deputy Chairman Jeanette Provenzano offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Ulster County Department of Social Services; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of the Ulster County Department of Social

Services requests that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature be authorized

to enter into an Agreement with the New York State Office of Children and Family

Services (OCFS) to receive funding in the amount of $139,787.00 for the Day Care

Registration and Inspection Program (CFDA# 93.575) for the term beginning

January 1, 2015 and ending December 31, 2015; and

WHEREAS, this Program provides funding for processing (1) initial day-care

facility registration applications; (2) renewals of existing registrations; (3) complaint

investigations; and (4) safety assessments; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby

authorized to enter into an Agreement and any amendments thereto with the New

York State OCFS to receive funding in the amount of $139,787.00 for the Day Care

Registration and Inspection Program, for the term beginning January 1, 2015 and

ending December 31, 2015, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County

Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney; and, be it

further

RESOLVED, that if funding for this program is eliminated, the program will

be eliminated as well,

and move its adoption.
