Referred to: The Public Health and Social Services Committee (Chairman Lopez and
Legislators Allen, Belfiglio, Litts and Provenzano), The Public Works and Capital
Projects Committee (Chairman Fabiano and Legislators Allen, Greene, Loughran and
Roberts), and The Ways and Means Committee (Chairman Gerentine and Legislators
Bartels, Belfiglio, Briggs, Maio, Maloney, Provenzano and Rodriguez)
Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano,
Deputy Chairman Peter M. Loughran, and Legislator Lopez offer the following:
WHEREAS, Ulster Prevention Council, a program of Family Services, Inc,
has been a New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services
(OASAS) funded initiative in Ulster County for the past eight years; and
WHEREAS, Ulster Prevention Council is seeking satellite office space that
provides accessibility to the Ellenville/Wawarsing/Kerhonkson area to conduct
outreach and address the diverse needs of communities in the southern portion of
Ulster County; and
WHEREAS, Family Services, Inc. wishes to rent office space from the County
at the Trudy Resnick Farber Center in Ellenville for the Ulster Prevention Council;
and
WHEREAS, the County has 108 square feet of office space located at the
lower level of the Trudy Resnick Farber Center, available to lease to Family
Services, Inc., at an annual cost of $1,080.00 which includes all utilities; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has requested the County of
Ulster lease the available 108 square feet of office space at the Trudy Resnick Farber
Center, 50 Center Street, Ellenville, NY to Family Services, Inc. for a one-year term
commencing July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015, at an annual cost of $1,080.00, with
all utilities included; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby
authorized to enter into a lease agreement with Family Services, Inc., to lease 108
square feet of office space at Trudy Resnick Farber Center, 50 Center St., Ellenville,
NY for use by the Ulster Prevention Council, for a term of one (1) year commencing
July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015, at an annual cost of $1,080.00, in the form as
filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval
of the County Attorney,
