Chairman of the Public Health and Social Services Committee, Craig V. Lopez, and

Deputy Chairman Jeanette Provenzano offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Social Services; and

 WHEREAS, the Commissioner of the Ulster County Department of Social

Services requests that the 2014 Ulster County Budget be amended to accept

additional funding from the New York State Child Care Block Grant Subsidy

Program in the amount of $214,136.00; and

 WHEREAS, this block grant is comprised of Federal Child Care Development

Funds, transfers from the Federal Temporary Assistance to Needy Families block

grant, and State funds, and is administered by the New York State Office of Children

and Family Services; and

 WHEREAS, the funding has been allocated by the New York State Office of

Children and Family Services to the Ulster County Department of Social Services as

the local service district, and the funds will be used as the primary resource to the

Department in meeting the child care subsidy needs of low-income families; now,

therefore, be it

 RESOLVED, that the 2014 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as

follows:

AA.6055-2700-4600.4660 Misc Contractual Expense Other $214,136.00
