Belfiglio, Litts, Lopez, and Provenzano) and The Ways and Means Committee
(Chairman Gerentine and Legislators Bartels, Belfiglio, Briggs, Maio, Maloney,
Richard Parete, and Rodriguez)
Member of the Public Health and Social Services Committee, Craig V. Lopez, offers
the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on
behalf of the Department of Social Services; and
WHEREAS, Section A3-4 (Y) and A2-6(A)(3) the Administrative Code
provide that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature can, upon approval of the
County Legislature, enter into an inter-municipal agreement on behalf of the County
of Ulster; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to General Municipal Law, Section 119-n(a), the
definition of a municipal corporation includes a board of cooperative educational
services; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of the Ulster County Department of Social
Services requests that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature be authorized to
execute an inter-municipal agreement with the Ulster County Board Of Cooperative
Educational Services (BOCES) in the amount of $5,750.00 for the Coordinated
Children’s Services School Placement Preventive Program, for the term January 1,
2014 through December 31, 2014; and
WHEREAS, the Coordinated Children’s Services School Placement
Preventive Program will enroll fifteen high-risk students in the Ulster County
BOCES after school program, who will be overseen by a case aide who will organize
after-school activities, assist the students on a daily basis and in times of crisis, meet
with their families, and facilitate collaboration with school and community service
providers; now, therefore, be it

Ulster County Board Of Cooperative Educational Services
(BOCES) – Department Of Social Services
RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby
authorized to execute an Inter-Municipal Agreement, and any amendments thereto,
with Ulster County BOCES in the amount of $5,750.00 for the Coordinated
Children’s Services School Placement Preventive Program, for the term January 1,
2014 through December 31, 2014, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster
County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, that if funding for this program is eliminated, then the program
will be eliminated as well,
and moves its adoption.
